But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.”約翰看見許多法利賽人和撒都該人來受洗，就對他們說：“毒蛇的種類！誰指示你們逃避將來的忿怒呢？你們要結出與悔改相稱的果子來。不要自己心裡說：‘有亞伯拉罕為我們的祖宗。’我告訴你們，神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。”

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.你們饒恕人的過犯，你們的天父也必饒恕你們；你們不饒恕人的過犯，你們的天父也必不饒恕你們的過犯。

No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.一個人不能事奉兩個主；不是惡這個愛那個，就是重這個輕那個。你們不能又事奉神，又事奉瑪門。

Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.你們要進窄門。因為引到滅亡，那門是寬的，路是大的，進去的人也多；引到永生，那門是窄的，路是小的，找著的人也少。

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”凡稱呼我‘主啊，主啊’的人，不能都進天國；惟獨遵行我天父旨意的人才能進去。當那日必有許多人對我說：‘主啊，主啊，我們不是奉你的名傳道、奉你的名趕鬼、奉你的名行許多異能嗎？’我就明明地告訴他們說：‘我從來不認識你們，你們這些作惡的人，離開我去吧！’

But whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.凡在人面前不認我的，我在我天上的父面前也必不認他。

And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.不揹著他的十字架跟從我的，也不配作我的門徒。

As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away.撒在石頭地上的，就是人聽了道，立刻歡喜領受；只因心裡沒有根，不過是暫時的，及至為道遭了患難，或是受了逼迫，立刻就跌倒了。

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.惟有忍耐到底的，必然得救。

But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.凡褻瀆聖靈的，卻永不得赦免，乃要擔當永遠的罪。

And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.你們站著禱告的時候，若想起有人得罪你們，就當饒恕他，好叫你們在天上的父也饒恕你們的過犯。

The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.那僕人的主人要在他想不到的日子、不知道的時辰來到，重重地處治他，定他和不忠心的人同罪。

No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.我告訴你們，不是的！你們若不悔改，都要如此滅亡。

Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.你們要努力進窄門。我告訴你們，將來有許多人想要進去，卻是不能。

Salt is good, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is of no use either for the soil or for the manure pile. It is thrown away. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.鹽本是好的；鹽若失了味，可用什麼叫它再鹹呢？或用在田裡，或堆在糞裡，都不合適，只好丟在外面。有耳可聽的，就應當聽！

Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it.凡想要保全生命的，必喪掉生命；凡喪掉生命的，必救活生命。

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.信子的人有永生；不順從子的人不得見永生，神的震怒常在他身上。

If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.人若不常在我裡面，就像枝子丟在外面枯乾，人拾起來，扔在火裡燒了。

Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.弟兄們，你們要謹慎，免得你們中間或有人存著不信的噁心，把永生神離棄了。總要趁著還有今日，天天彼此相勸，免得你們中間有人被罪迷惑，心裡就剛硬了。我們若將起初確實的信心堅持到底，就在基督裡有分了。

And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him.他既得以完全，就為凡順從他的人成了永遠得救的根源。

For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.論到那些已經蒙了光照、嘗過天恩的滋味、又於聖靈有分，並嘗過神善道的滋味、覺悟來世權能的人，若是離棄道理，就不能叫他們從新懊悔了；因為他們把神的兒子重釘十字架，明明地羞辱他。

For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.就如一塊田地，吃過屢次下的雨水，生長菜蔬，合乎耕種這田地的人用，就從神得福；若長荊棘和蒺藜，必被廢棄，近於咒詛，結局就是焚燒。

For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.因為我們得知真道以後，若故意犯罪，贖罪的祭就再沒有了，惟有戰懼等候審判和那燒滅眾敵人的烈火。

But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.我們卻不是退後入沉淪的那等人，乃是有信心以致靈魂得救的人。

Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.你們要追求與眾人和睦，並要追求聖潔；非聖潔沒有人能見主。

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.只是你們要行道，不要單單聽道，自己欺哄自己。

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.你信神只有一位，你信的不錯；鬼魔也信，卻是戰驚。

You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.你們這些淫亂的人哪，豈不知與世俗為友就是與神為敵嗎？所以凡想要與世俗為友的，就是與神為敵了。

And “If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”若是義人僅僅得救，那不虔敬和犯罪的人將有何地可站呢？

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.正因這緣故，你們要分外地殷勤；有了信心，又要加上德行；有了德行，又要加上知識；有了知識，又要加上節制；有了節制，又要加上忍耐；有了忍耐，又要加上虔敬；有了虔敬，又要加上愛弟兄的心；有了愛弟兄的心，又要加上愛眾人的心。你們若充充足足地有這幾樣，就必使你們在認識我們的主耶穌基督上不至於閒懶不結果子。人若沒有這幾樣，就是眼瞎，只看見近處的，忘了他舊日的罪已經得了潔淨。所以弟兄們，應當更加殷勤，使你們所蒙的恩召和揀選堅定不移；你們若行這幾樣，就永不失腳。這樣，必叫你們豐豐富富地得以進入我們主救主耶穌基督永遠的國。

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”倘若他們因認識主救主耶穌基督，得以脫離世上的汙穢，後來又在其中被纏住、制伏，他們末後的景況就比先前更不好了。他們若曉得義路，竟背棄了傳給他們的聖命，倒不如不曉得為妙。俗語說得真不錯：狗所吐的，它轉過來又吃；豬洗淨了，又回到泥裡去滾。

By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.我們若遵守他的誡命，就曉得是認識他。

The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;人若說‘我認識他’，卻不遵守他的誡命，便是說謊話的，真理也不在他心裡了。

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.不要愛世界和世界上的事。人若愛世界，愛父的心就不在他裡面了。

And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.這世界和其上的情慾都要過去，惟獨遵行神旨意的，是永遠常存。

Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.犯罪的是屬魔鬼，因為魔鬼從起初就犯罪。神的兒子顯現出來，為要除滅魔鬼的作為。

By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.從此就顯出誰是神的兒女，誰是魔鬼的兒女：凡不行義的就不屬神，不愛弟兄的也是如此。

And the LORD said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.”耶和華對摩西說：誰得罪我，我就從我的冊上塗抹誰的名。

Add iniquity unto their iniquity; And let them not come into thy righteousness, Let them be blotted out of the book of life, And not be written with the righteous.願你在他們的罪孽上加罪，不容他們在你面前稱義。願他們從生命冊上被塗抹，不得記錄在義人之中。

But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die.義人若轉離義行而作罪孽，行可憎的事，豈能存活嗎？他所行的一切義都不被記念；他因所行的罪過和所犯的罪，必要死。

“But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?”惡人若回頭離開所犯的一切罪，謹守我一切的律例，行正直與合理的事，他必要存活，不至死亡。他所犯的一切罪過都不被記念，因所行的義，他必存活。主耶和華說：惡人死亡，豈是我喜悅的嗎？不是喜悅他回頭離開所行的道存活嗎？

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.你要專心仰賴耶和華，不可倚靠自己的聰明；在你一切所行的事上都要認定他，他必指引你的路。
